Yesterday was the birthday of my dear friend 
. So I' drawn her a present. At first time I didn't really wanted to watch the show but I remember that moment the last time I was in Munich when she bought me the first season on DVD and said "Watch this!". 
So I had to. But over time, SPN became one of my favorite series. I love the atmosphere, the dialogues, the demons with all the human habits and Dean Winchester of course. The 5th season was amazing and had an epic finale. I think I've started to draw this picture then.
About the picture. It was painted in Photoshop CS5 with an Intuos 3 tablet. I took the textures from CG-textures and the scratch-texture from here. I've started it a a while ago and had to overpaint it over 9000 times. Cars are a pain in the ass. And realistic men with that kind of perspective.. oh jeez. The way you've drawn Dean and Sam is really interesting, and your realistic, live-action looking colours, shading and light are GORGEOUS, especially the way they shine on the Impala and make it look like it came right out of the show onto this pic!! 
The aura behind them is also gorgeous, though I'm not sure it entirely fits with the show's desaturated atmosphere - I could be wrong, I'm just watching it again now after a long time without it. I also love Sam and Dean's respective postures and their expressions - Sam's book together with his short hair and desaturated-brown jacket is really evocative of the start of the show, gives it a real Season 1-feel!!! XD 
(Yeah, I think the yellows in the background with the blue might look a little too like a less-saturised version of a daycare wall's mural for 'Supernatural,' but I think the colour on the Winchesters and Dean's baby is perfect!!
