Hehe reminds me of skyward sword.. anyway ^^ ...So you requested critique, I like how the octopus seems to have a wood-grain texture. It will be very interesting to see it colored. I like the overall composition, however the stairs seem out of place. Based on the perspective of the rest of the room, they seem to be coming in at a weird angle. I would either have them come strait from the bottom center of the image, or have an "L" bend or a curved bend if they come in from the side so the foot of the stairs lines up with the center of the room... Probably the latter because I really like how the railing separates the viewer from the "danger" below.

Other than that, great work as always!
